How can you see it when every single person besides you says they get no where near a 90% kill rate? And the ranch being discussed and the percent kill rates are from different hunters?

So only the one in 30 or 50 awesome hunters or the cream of the crop happen to hunt that ranch?

I've never lost a hog. I've hit a bunch of them though.

do outfitters generally claim client kills as their own?

Actually, 2 with a rifle and 2 with a bow. Very small sample size. I've been EXTREMELY lucky so far. Not looking forward to the next 4. The odds are not in my favor

            Hog Hunters Only

I don't know my percentage. But I have nailed some and it looked like I shot a hickory stump. Bad part is every single time it's happened I've been on the ground (not in a ground blind) , just hold still and pray he doesn't get a bead on you.

Course if he does get a bead on you, that's where the real fun begins!!!

Sounds to good to be true. That's always been a red flag for me.

There have been shootings where I've been well over 100% on shots fired versus hogs recovered.

I've lost one pig with my bow and it was because we quit looking.

Even if you hit where you were aiming, our hogs tend to move a lot so the shots don't hit where planned. Hard to account for that. I find most but not all but I only take short 20-25 yard shots, closer if I can get them. And I shoot for the off shoulder and ruin a lot of arrows. That said, 75% seems about right.

That is a big problem for me as well. A moving target is not as easy to place a precise arrow in.

With no dogs and so many hog trails leading into the woods, it's really a crapshoot if the pig goes more than 50 yds.

Did I mention this same guy claims some 500 lifetime pig kills? But the forum he posts on nobody even questioned that.
My son and a friend killed 54 on my place in one year. We live next to a creek bottom and he hunts a lot, corns 'em in to the backside of the place and burns 'em. That was the most in a year though. They're a little more educated now !

Sorry, I just remembered that number included 12 trapped !
