    Browning Strike Force Cam Users

Got a new cam been out two days. The night pics are all black like the IR is t working. Am I missing a setting to get it to take night pics. Have it set on the trail cam mode.

I'll look at mine when I get home....Don't remember the settings off hand. I used it all last year with no troubles. It takes real good pics but the batter life isn't the best. I was getting around 3500 pics on a set of batteries.

I just looked at my camera settings and didn't see anything relating to the night IR. I'm thinking there's something wrong with yours.

Wow, we got way more than 3500 pics per a set of batteries! I ran mine from August to February on one set, and they each took about 7 to 8000 pics. I had the quality maxed out, but I was using the recommended lithium batteries, so that may have made the difference.

To the OP, there isn't a separate setting for the IR pics - they shouldn't be all black. If it doesn't work this go round, call up the customer service and they'll get you fixed up pretty quick (based on my experience).

I'll try the lithium batteries next time. I was using the regular Energizers.

I had the exact same problem . It turns out that it's caused by a software glitch . You can call the customer service and they will mail you an SD card with the update . You can put the card in your camera and bring everything up to date .

The battery life with lithiums is very impressive.

I have had the same issues of not taking nighttime pics and the cameras are less than 2 weeks old. Anyone have any luck doing the software update? Any advice?

I just bought a Strike force since so many people liked it. All my other cameras are bushnell trophy cams. Strike force night pics are dark. Set a bushnell and the strike force side by side. Bushnell took 237 pics and strike force took 83. Both cams on same settings. Not impressed at all so far with browning. Will call and try the software update.

I've got 4 Strike Force cams. Been very pleased. Sounds like something wrong w/ yours though.

Please post side by side pics. Was 1 camera higher then the other?

I have a friend who has been having the same problem of not being able to take nightime pics, and sounds like a few other on here as well have had the same problem.

Has anyone sucessfully completed the software upgrade? If so, what is the process?
