    Eden, Tx

Me and a few family members just landed a lease in Eden, Tx.
I went and looked at the place saw a few deer but don't know much about the area. Such as population wise horn size and body weight if anyone has any info about the area let me know

You might see some exotics in the cedar country south of 87, but that's a big might. North of 87 it starts to flatten out and the geography starts to change.

We have had family land in Eden forever! The deer aren't too big body wise. 110 dressed weight was the biggest this season. The antler size are decent if you let them grow. You probably will have free range axis. The one that we have are huge, both body and antler size. 300+ live weight on some of the mature axis bucks. We have no hogs yet. And the best place to get corn/feed is Jacobys in Melvin. Hope this helps!

Very nice area. Heck of a drive from Kingwood. Good Luck this year.

Hunted in Eden for 12 years... Loved it... Lots of game , lots of Turkey , little to no hogs, lots of dove , we hunted out just northwest of town about 10 miles out. Snowed often which was cool being from the Austin area.

I was on a lease outside Eden with a fellow to her a few years back. Small place, lots of surrounding pressure, and still saw/took some very nice deer. I would be back in a heartbeat if the opportunity arose.

It is a 1,000 acres just 4 of us on it. It is mixed between cedar, mesquite and Live Oaks. Land owner said their is a few axis every so often, no hogs which is great. I'm excited about the place. All 4 of us strictly bowhunt and we don't have designated spots so that will be pretty cool. Thanks everyone for there input.

                    Eden, Tx

Eden also has a Dairy Queen and Sonic, so trips to town for food are good for a known bite to eat.
Btw, if someone in your camp gets snake bit- drive them to San Angelo if you can as I'm pretty sure the clinic in Eden doesn't have anti-venom. That's what they told us last year anyways.

And don't forget to visit the Garden of Eden on the south side of town.

I'm at the county line between Menard and Eden. Great hunting with no hogs.
