What could you shoot at Chambers Bay

    Playing from the championship tees.....

I am about a 15 handicap....was about a 5 in my 20s but those days are long gone....

with 280 carries to fairway on some holes.....

    I bet I couldn't break 120 there

115-125 with 45 putts and that's if i practiced the heck out of the hand wedge from the traps

I range from an 11-14 handicap depending on how much I am playing. With total legit scoring and the current setup I would guess 115-120. Could be worse. It's looks pretty dang tough. I know tiger is in bad form but he looked totally lost out there just like I would.

I would break the course record on hole 13-14-15

Probably not bad if I just use my putter only lol

Had a chance to play it one time and couldn't due to rain. At the time I was a 15 and from the regular tees 100 looked good. From the tips maybe 150. Where they are playing now I don't know if I could carry enough balls. Carries are super long

As it is set up and from the tips, I don't think I'd break 2 bills.

Would probably have to play pretty well to keep it in the 80's

Fairways are very wide for those who don't bomb it over 300+ yards. Fairways choke down a lot on the longest drives.

No trees, playing conservatively, I bet bogey golf is realistic with maybe a snowman front and back on the card?

If one can swing a long iron and consistently play 230 - 240 off the T, with another 230 - 240 off the fairway to the green, without having LOW scoring expectations, I'm sure a 10 handicapper can stay under 100 easily. Probably low 90s to mid 80s if you can nail putts.

Lot's of bump and run with 7 iron chips off the green, just letting the ball follow a line to the cup. 2 - 3 putt and move on to the next. No L-Wedge spinning lofted short game shots....it's too tight and skulling a shot is a very high probability. Maybe even finding one of those old school chippers, with a 7 iron loft, used with a putting stroke would work around the greens. Not pretty but, survival on a thin cut, tight and dry links style course requires shots to roll up onto the greens instead of flying in with lofted shots.

A deer or maybe a rabbit. Heck I'd shoot anything that walked out.

I'd be blitzed before the turn and would probably give up.
