    Question about Amazon.com

I am looking at buying a large item from an individual. I am told by this individual that I can pay for this thru Amazon.com, they will ship it to me, I have a 5 day inspection period, if I don't like it I get my money back and Amazon.com ships it back to said individual. Do yall know if this is viable and Amazon.com policy?

I've never heard of that before. I would contact Amazon customer service and ask them.

I have returned to Amazon without question. Check out their return policy.

Amazon does have a return policy.

Return policy varies from seller to seller. If its "fulfilled by" Amazon usually that means that it has a solid return policy.

            THIS!

If its not PRIME then more than likely will have the sellers return policy. Do Not Be HAD by a scam!

Call amazon customer service and ask if seller is a amazon seller. Cover yourself and check his rating through them first.

How is this accomplished? I am trying to verify validity of seller.

This sounds like the scams they try to pull using e-bay.

I typically don't buy anything through Amazon unless it is prime (direct or 3rd party fulfilled.) If it isn't listed on the website from an easy search, I would be suspect.

I am suspect! I have ordered from Amazon 1 time...bad experience. What does 3rd party fulfilled mean?

DONT DO IT. ITS A SCAM! I looked into buying a trailer from someone that gave me the same info you have. They even gave a sappy story about losing s relative. I would suggest not doing it just to be safe. After doing some research I found out it was a scam that's been going on around the country.

Hmm. Not sure how this would be a scam. I buy a lot of stuff on amazon. When you buy from a third party, you still pay amazon. So if its a scam they guy wont be paid. Is it listed on amazon?

Sellers have feedback too on amazon.

Also put it on a credit card that you can dispute if there is a problem. The return policy will go through the seller if its not sold or fulfilled by amazon
