I am looking at buying a large item from an individual. I am told by this individual that I can pay for this thru Amazon.com, they will ship it to me, I have a 5 day inspection period, if I don't like it I get my money back and Amazon.com ships it back to said individual. Do yall know if this is viable and Amazon.com policy?

DONT DO IT. ITS A SCAM! I looked into buying a trailer from someone that gave me the same info you have. They even gave a sappy story about losing s relative. I would suggest not doing it just to be safe. After doing some research I found out it was a scam that's been going on around the country.

Hmm. Not sure how this would be a scam. I buy a lot of stuff on amazon. When you buy from a third party, you still pay amazon. So if its a scam they guy wont be paid. Is it listed on amazon?
Sellers have feedback too on amazon.
Also put it on a credit card that you can dispute if there is a problem. The return policy will go through the seller if its not sold or fulfilled by amazonLast edited by mmoses; 06-19-2015, 08:24 AM.
