    Welding helmet recommendation

Looking for a good welding helmet to purchase my maint crew at work, any recommendations? Would like cut and grinding modes, and for the headgear to be comfortable and NOT continuously fall down in you face when working with it in the up position.
    Budget is around 300

    Thanks
    Cody

        I vote Jackson

Your budget is right. Don't go cheap to protect eyes or ears is my new motto.
I have the BOSS. Works better than any others I've used.

I'd say check out the pancake hoods. You can get the. That use auto lenses, they seal around the eyes, and have elastic bands. I grew up in a family of pipeliners, and that is all those guys use. That's what I have too

I've been in the welding supply business almost 20 years.

                Buy the Miller Digital Elite.

Plain jane jackson welding hoods with full view glass hard to beat. Or fibre metal pipeliner hood also great.

No offense but miller hoods are JUNK!!! And you have to buy there special lenses that are way over priced. A while back I was given one win I purchased my syncrowave and I ended up giving it to one of my employes and he tried to give it away to someone else. Needless to say it rots on a shelf.

Stay with the Jackson but I would lean more toward the boss. Been a great hood for me for the last few years and when the auto dark goes bad I can replace it with a cheap Randor auto dark. When the POS miller goes bad all you can do is throw it away

I've had the miller elite for 7 years now, I love it, have had no problems with the auto darkening lens any, and it's way lighter than a jackson, I wear my hood for 12 hours a day nearly 6 days a week, it's hit the floor more times than I can count and ain't broke nothing, the head gear is also comfy, but like any thing else it will get worn out after time and continue to fall down on you but just change it out. Only thing I don't like about the miller hood is when you buy the fancy painted ones and burn Flux core all day every day the heat makes the paint bubble up and eventually it peels off.if you buy all the same hoods then you can buy all the same clear lens
