pointing a game cam at your house

Seems like a lot of burglary threads lately on here. How many people have a game camera, or something similar, hiding in the bushes pointed at your house or driveway?

Game camera is too unreliable. After our house was burglarized nearly 4 years ago I bought and have a couple of these: http://www.amazon.com/Sharx-Security.../dp/B00IAZ3R0C
pointed at strategic locations in and around the house. I have it set up to record video and send still images instantly to my email account every time it detects motion (day or night). I also have an app installed on my phone that allows me to view the video stream live and listen inside the house.

I have the same setup. My wife hates it because she thinks I am spying on her.

Ive got a Swann Link camera system in my house. Hard drive is in my gun safe. Good setup and was pretty affordable. I think I paid $229 for the HD and 2 cameras. I added an additional camera later on. I can access it from an app on my phone at any time. It can also send alerts and stuff.

Is this a trick question? If we tell you we have one aren't we telling everyone on the internet to keep an eye out for it if you they plan on braking in?

Access to my home is one way in and one way out. I have a game cam hidden in the brush near the driveway. it catches every license plate or every vehicle going in or out. It also picks up folks walking down the driveway. Haven't had any issues yet.

I have game cameras all over. We have a 300 yard driveway with them all down it. I honestly didn't think anyone knew they were there, but when I had a police over the other day he said "Nice Game cameras". I guess I should hide them better, but there is no way anyone can find them all.

I've been using game cameras at work for the past 4 years. I set them out at places that have been burglarized multiple times. I've had good success with them until last week. I had one set out at a storage facility that was getting hammered every few days. Gut hit it during the day last week and got my camera. I got the last laugh though, Found the guy Monday and he confessed to several recent burglaries. And he had my camera hanging on the wall of his house.

I have security cams going 24/7 night and day. Can't stop anyone, but at least I'll have a better chance at identifying if/when something happens. I would be worried about a game camera not picking up the movement fast enough, being too blurry, etc.
