Trees are falling in Brazoria County

Be careful, the ground is saturated. A mature healthy pecan just missed my house by inches. I've heard of several others in the area.

Can I come and help clear it out and get some cooking wood?
    I'm serious to

I've been asking the family if they need pecan wood. I'll let you know, if they don't take you are welcome to it. Will need to let the yard dry out a bit first though. Will keep you posted.

A lot of good smokin' wood there. Laid down right at your back doorstep. That's service!

Looks like it snapped off, not uprooted from saturation??

I lost one yesterday evening, too Fortunately, it's not near the house, and didn't fall on the street, blocking traffic.

Little of both, that piece you see sticking up is the one root that held, the rest pulled. Sucks, I like my trees.

Hate to see that Mikey - My inlaws live in Brazoria in that subdivision to the left on the river before you get to the McCoys bridge, they have several across the road.

We have been gone since Friday and I didn't know what to expect coming home today. Got lucky and only one small limb down.
