    Summer Flounder

Howdy. Any advice on using gulp plastics and "worm" fishing them in the summer? Figured I'd try West Bay in Galveston this week (assuming) all is better with the tides etc. Thanks!

I have had some good luck slow bouncing them across the bottom near cuts/grass. I have caught redfish and flounder this way. Never caught a ton of them but I really enjoy this type of fishing. It is very relaxing.

Caught a couple on the Gulp shrimp this weekend. Wasn't fishing for them but threw up next to a bulkhead and they were there. New Penny color gulp shrimp.

I have a friend who swears by the Chartreuse Swimming Mullet for flounder as well.

Thank you sir! There are a few places in the bay I know of that I am going to try. Thanks for the tip

We always ran a double rig. 2 different length leaders on one swivel. Clear pepper flake salty grub in the front, white with pink tail in the back.

Really isn't much to it as far as the gulp goes. If you can slowly drag any color/shape near one you will get them to bite...even it its just a reaction bite. Finding them is the tricky part.

For what its worth I use pearl colored gulp grubs.

Thanks guys! I have an area where I found a "cut"...when the tides rolls out the bait fish seem to get pounded by something there....figured it would be a good spot for flatties.

Find drains and toss something with a curly tail. If you already found one with bait funneling out getting smashed your probably on the right track.

Tandem rig curl tail gulp .. I like to use a charteruese in rear and white up front .. "Worm" fishing them next to grass bulkheads any outgoing tide particularly
