    New Puppy

Well, in my travels around western iowa I came across a younger dog who had apparently gotten her chain loose, drug it. A couple miles, then got tangled up in an old corn crib. We untangled her and got her to finally trust us, and had the owner of the corn crib put it on Facebook to see if anyone recognized her. She's currently on my front porch happy as can be. We think she's a mini Australian Shepherd.

Anybody know the easiest way to tell age? We think she's around 1 but don't really know for sure

Count the rings (kidding), vets can often get semi close by examining their teeth.

        Nice looking pup, nonetheless.

I'd also guess about a year old. Definitely an Aussie. They're great dogs. My wife's is a total sweetheart.

Yep, she appears to have been fed well, although she was slightly skittish if you moved quickly around her. Very little matted hair.

Great dogs. My cousin had them on his farm. Great with cattle and would stay in the bed of his truck until told otherwise.

Where in eastern Iowa? I grew up in western Illinois and spent alot of my childhood across the river in Iowa. Leclaire/Princeton area.
