We were 8 for 8 on Black bear last spring.

There is only one place to hunt if you truly want a huge black bear.... Vancouver Island.. hunts are pricey around 5-8000 for just one bear, but the chances of it being a bear of a lifetime are pretty good..

I did alot of homework on bear hunting, I just did not want to shoot a fat barrell feed donut eating bear, I wanted a good spot and stalk hunt..look at what Jim Shockey has to offer..

I went with Pete this year and had a great time. He is loaded with Bears

My dad is a guide in northern Cal. he will catch you one for $2,500. there is nothing like running them with walker dogs. send me a p.m. if your interested

We have a group from TBH going next spring as well. If you want info where we are going send me a pm with your email and I will send you the info. I go every year with a group of guys and this year they decided to hunt something else so we are going with a TBH group.

Actually, the truly huge bears are coastal bears, with most coming from Coastal Alaska. A coastal Alaskan Black will make a VCI bear wash his socks!
