    Best MUD tire

I am looking for tires for my YJ (31-10.50x15). When I say mud tire I don't mean an all terrain that does ok in mud. I want a mud tire that can also handle short 15 to 30 mile trips on the road. My jeep will be used to go to work run to town and such but it really needs to be able to handle wet muddy lease trails. Also cost is of huge importance

My son put Buckshot mudders on his YJ, same size. I've been really impressed. He has 40000 miles on them and I'd say they still have just a little less than 50% life on them. Lots of highway miles on them.

Fierce Attitude by Dunlop. On my 3rd set and haven't got less than 50k out of any of them on diesel trucks.

this ^^ I cant remember if buckshot and grip spur are the same tires, or if grip spur is a tire made by buckshot but either way you cant go wrong. they flat out eat. and not terrible on the rd. https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en#h...o+op+grip+spur

For what you want, you cant beat a good buckshot mudder. They are cheap (relatively) and ride as well as any mud tire on a Jeep can. Had some 33s on my 2000 TJ and I think we ran them (or something similar) on my 93 YJ in HS, and I never got stuck, ever. Had a winch on the 00 that never got used except once to pull a hog trap out of a patch of brush. I think the ones I ran were made by Maxxis.

            Edit: Yep, these are them.

^ that bogger is a bad bad tire too, but it comes with a pretty hefty price tag as well.

I run the Kelly TSR 31/10.5/15's on my Jeep. I do a little rock crawling, off-roading, and use as I go to my favorite hunting spots. I also drive this Jeep daily. I bought these at discount tire. Fairly cheap. They do well in mud, sand etc.

Mud tires with minimal paved road driving? Boggers, the end.

Look up the Mastercraft Courser MXT or the Mudclaw radial mt for a good cheap mud tire.

I bought MT's by Kenda in the same size. Kenda use to primarily make motorcycle tires of I remember right. They had good reviews and look pretty aggressive. I haven't mounted them yet so I can't speak of any experience. They are definitely priced right at about $130-140 each.

For a pure off road tire in the mud, nothing compares to Super Swampers.

The TSL Bogger is a pure mud tire, I ran the TSL Bias on my Bronco for a while. Now it wears IROK's.

They are not pleasant on the street, but will outperform just about anything off road.
