Yesterday I got in a hurry getting the kiddos out of the truck and did two things I always preach not to do. I left my gun in my truck and I forgot to lock my doors. Well someone got me. My Ruger SR1911 was stolen. Serial number 670-50865. Haven't been able to get it in the system yet because I'm at work and the wife just called about and hour ago. Should be able to get it reported once the wife gets home

I know how you feel. They ought to shoot thieves, not let em off on probation.

My house was hit a couple of years back. Fortunately, Ha, they only got a couple of guns; my favoraite black powder rifle at the time, A TC Hawken, and a couple of other cheap guns. However, one was a family heirloom.

A house down the street was hit a couple of weeks earlier so I took precaution and hid as many as I could. They missed about 23-4 others.

Been about 6 or 7 years and none have shown up, maybe you'll be mo lucky and get it back some day soon.

I get real down on myself when I take a shortcut and it comes back to bite me.

Know the feeling... accidentally left mine unlocked (which I almost NEVER do) at the local gun range a few weeks ago. Had lots of stuff in my truck and didn't really notice anything missing at first. Over the next couple of days I realized I was missing my binos and several other easy to grab items. All together about an $800 mistake on my part. I initially thought a gun range should be a fairly safe spot to have slipped and left it unlocked. In hindsight it's a terrible place as a thief knows that if he catches a door unlocked there is a good chance he can quickly snag a very high dollar item

Not yet still stuck at work. Won't be able to till tomorrow
