i use google domains now for all my domain buying. cost a little more, but the simplicity is well worth it.

I've also had good luck with Namecheap.com in the past, but Google Domains is probably the best bet. Stay away from GoDaddy...

I tried to buy the google, but they wanted quite a bit for it.

its $12 a year for regular domains, premiums might be a little more.
