    Biting gnats and skeeters!!!

This is turning out to be a terrible year for biting gnats, and hoping someone has figured out a way to get rid of these suckers. I knew we would be battling mosquitoes, but these gnats are worse than the skeeters!!!! I have about given up on going outside. I sprayed the yard with Permethrin yesterday, and they attacked the whole dang time. Going to get the Black Flag fumigator out this afternoon. I feel like walking T-Bone in the yard.

I am having the same problems with the gnats. When we feed the livestock we are eaten alive. It is really dry over there so we don't have a problem with mosquitoes.

We don't feed them later than about 8:30 so we aren't eaten alive.

Yep no luck on gnats. I think the gnats ate all the mosquitoes. Haven't seen them since the gnat explosion. It could be that it is just hard to see the skeeters while gnats are flying in my ears, up my nose, in my eyes. and biting all exposed skin.

Seriously, why do they fly in our eyes, nose, and ears?

Spray last night really seemed to help. At least I could stay out for a while this afternoon. One or two buzzing but not an all out attack.
