    Anybody remember this stuff?

Found some at a walgreens, same old stuff grandpa liked. The after shave stings like hell.

    Good memories, been gone 13yrs.

Any stuff that reminds you of your grandpa?

Orange beanie that stays in my bow case. I keep a cut out pic of him under the foam as well. I frequently find myself wishing that I could of taken him hunting like he did for us many times. He passed just before I was settled in and had a lease of my own. Still squeeze that orange beanie and say hello before many hunts though.

Fishing Galveston Bay is what reminds me the most of him. He was an Old Salt fishing offshore most of his life. As he got older he stayed in the bay so that was where my brother and I spend time fishing with him.

Anytime I see someone wearing a pair Dickies coveralls I think of him, only remember seeing him wear something else a handful of times(weddings/funerals).

This one is kind of random but mole hills in a yard. We would sit on the front porch swing and he would shoot at them with an old Revelation .22 revolver from Western Auto.

Both grandpas are still alive but my great grandpa is one I really miss. V05 tube of hair gel, thumbs (had this glitch with his right hand and would tap his thumb against his forefinger and hand) and rabbit hunting (we did A LOT of that together). One of the greatest men I ever knew.

We bought my grandparents house back in Feb. Alot of papas tools are still in the garage. Every time I go out there, I find something and have to stop and tell my wife the story along with it.

Spent a lot of time working in that garage with Papa and there are times the memories hit me like a flood. My welding hood hangs off the same old broken garden hoe that he stuck above a door to hold his...

                          Okra.

Sitting with him at age six on the back porch of their farmhouse (now in the middle of the big city of Hutto), Pa told me to go to the garden in front of us, and pick some okra. Ok, you know what came next. To this day I cannot eat okra, and have my grandpa to thank for that.
