Bad wreck on 20 near Aledo exit

Prayers up for this one it is bad. Just happened and passed it on the other side of the highway. It's on the eastbound side. Highway shut down.

Looked like a truck Tahoe car and 18 wheeler

Multi-Vehicle entrpament accident (Parker County) Aledo FD, Willow Park FD & LifeCare EMS are working a multi-vehicle accident on East bound I-20 at the 420 mile marker near the FM 1187 exit. Reported that an 18 wheeler crossed the median and has struck mutliple vehicles. CareFlite 6 has transported 1 victim from the scene. At least one confirmed fatality. Traffic is backed up in both directions, seek alternate route. Please avoid the area! A11

It seems like the cable guardrail along that stretch of I-20 gets torn up a couple times a month. The median is pretty narrow in that area so that cable has prevented a lot of head-on collisions - but I guess it won't stop a big rig. Prayers up for those involved. That is my only way home (west bound) -- I hope it is cleared up by 5:00

Based on what I've seen lately that road won't be re-opened any time soon if there was a fatality. If this is your way home you need to take a different route. So sad to read, prayers sent for the poor people who were involved in the wreck.

You can take 377 south from I-20 through Benbrook. Just south of town turn right on FM 1187 - it will wind around quite a bit but eventually T into FM 5 just south of downtown Aledo

Where you trying to get on FM5? the Hudson Oaks side or the Aledo side?

Or if you're coming from lake worth area take 1886 over to 730 go south come out on 180 and over I'm on fm 5 working right now

Looking at my traffic app - it looks like westbound traffic is backed up at least a mile east of the 20/30 split

Go west on 20, take 2871 south, and then go west on Aledo rd, it will run into 1187, go west again and that will get you to 5 just south of old town Aledo.
