I'll split it with ya, we will each take 15,000 acres.

Just don't mind me stopping over from time to time.

They wouldn't have to pay me. They can assign interest to me and bring on the windmills.

No wind power and or gas\oil. The tax liability on this amount of acreage without additional revenue streams of power\energy - CRACK SMOKING OIL TYCOONS!

50 Wind turbines should generate about a million dollars of revenue per year, with a 20 year service life expectancy.

So the current owners would have this option, as you carry the tax burden and management woes of dealing with this much acreage. Land at this size requires a small army to manage.

If someone will just buy it, I will lease it for cattle/hunting $2/acre.

the deal is... they're keeping the revenue from the windmills. so you get windmills, and no windmill check.

How about that. Say you cough up a substantial amount of money only to wake up one day when the 18 wheelers are bringing in a bunch of giant wind turbines. That is completely crazy.

Heck I'm surprised that someone can actually retain and own the "wind rights".

Kind or reminds me of auction properties stating "wellbore only" and even worse, "producing zone only". What a joke.

It amazes me people that buy land keep buying it for increased prices despite losing key functions of Land ownership. Mineral right, water rights, and now wind rights?

                Insane.

just because you have a lot of money doesn't mean you very smart.

I see land sell right by me for 10 times what it's worth and the new owners put in a 30,000 dollor rock and steel gate intrance with thier brand or name on it and I never see anything else done. Has to be a tax right off. what a waste.......

I believe that they would still have to pay you, as the owner, for the actual land used, where the turbines are setting, and for roads constructed to get to them, you just wouldnt get royalties after that initial payment. That being said, they could still probably condemn the land needed if you said no to them

I think we should all go in together. TBH needs a common ranch.

if every member contributed $363.61, we could buy it and have a total of 0.445 acres apiece to hunt! lol

no, it would be less, you forgot to add the parking lot we would have to build.
