Hi all, thanks a bunch for all the kind words. I went to the ER twice, urgent care, physician and ophthalmologist.

I had everything from a CT scan, a bunch of EKG'S, blood work, and chest xrays. All came back good.

The ophthalmologist said I have a slight misalignment of my eyes and even though my eyes normally are able to correct it on their own, when I am experiencing acute stress or fatigue that ability could become temporarily compromised.

At this point I'm going to have a physical soon to get a more thorough status on my general health, but it seems this scary episode was a result of stress/fatigue.

While I'm somewhat disconcerted at what feels like a very nebulous diagnosis, I am massively thankful that it is not something more serious, and that (let the jokes begin) my heart and brain are functioning properly.

Additionally, I've been SO DARN EXHAUSTED all week. I'm just now starting to feel like my normal crotchety self again. I have just been hibernating like a bear, recovering from all this.

Anxiety? I had a panic attack (first and only of my life) about 5 years ago, and had very similar symptoms. Thought it was a heart attack, but all tests checked out fine...
