Behind my garage, copper pipe comes out of the wall, ground wire is attached, and there is a hose bib on the line. Hose bib has leaked since we moved in, I have just been putting it off. Decided to tap into the water there for the backyard sprinkler and replace the leaky hose bib. Issue is, I can't unscrew it from the copper pipe. Large crescent on the copper fitting, pipe wrench on the other and it wont move. I feel like any more force and I will break the copper pipe. What can I do besides cutting a hole in the wall and replacing the end of the line?

Sweat the old connector off, polish the heck out of the pipe, and solder a new one on.
I do not use gate valve hose bibbs any more. I will only replace with a ball valve (they tend to leak less)
If you're not comfortable using a plumbing torch, I'm guessing you could get it done for the cost of a service call if you buy a male adapter and a hose bibb.
