I NEED a big Mule Deer

Im sure there are similar threads on this topic, but i have the Mule Deer bug pretty dang bad. I dont know very much about them or what the honey hole states are so im turning it over to you guys that have done it before. I am trying to keep it under $7500 on the hunt not counting travel, lots of miles saved up. I want a chance at a serious trophy buck, i know it dosent always work that way, but if i was to only do it one time in my life......

    What state?
    Outfitter recomendations?
    Sandhills? Alberta? Colorado?

Not really high on Mexico, not that i could get it done for my price down there anyways.

Thanks for the help ahead of time

I've done a lot of research and with that budget you have a lot of options. My buddies have seen and killed a monster in Nebraska sand dunes. I personally want one in the mountains somewhere. Check out this east Colorado hunt a TBHer recommended I've been leaning toward.

        Nice suggestion James.

I told you they're legit. You should book the week we'll be there next year.

Nevada, we have them and land owner tags fall well within your price range.

          You don't need a outfitter.

http://www.jenkinshunt.com/deer.html You might try these folks, was leo in Wy for years and heard nothing but good about them. You can also take a pronghorn on the same hunt. Good Luck

I NEED a big Mule Deer

I was in Montana last year for elk, loved the country and chasing elk. BUT, I'll never forget the big mule deer buck I saw running up a ridge, stopping to look at us against the sky, then stepping over the backside. Huge!!!

I don't have a number in mind. I want people to walk in my house and just stare. Then I get to tell them the whole story and re live the whole thing. I have a deer in mind but it's hard to put it into words.

Probably looking at something in the 160-180 range. I'd say that a reasonable expectation for a paid hunt.

I've only hunted Texas. I have seen them in Kansas. They're pretty big in both states, but it's generally the same rule as with whitetails in regards to size.
