Microsoft Office for Mac?

Does anybody use Office for a Mac? My girlfriend is wanting to buy a new laptop for her college work and she likes the mac but wasn't sure about office for it. Everything shes been reading about it is that its buggy and sometimes doesn't work. She E-mailed me a link from the Apple store and it has some pretty bad reviews.

Excel is really weird on the mac. Just takes some getting used to.

I did quite a few big economics prjects with excel on my MacBook pro in college and it worked for me. I had good experiences with it.... you just had to figure out some of the differences when the prof was doing stuff on the screen.... and yes, student discount helped out a lot!

I have been running it for 7 yrs now and never had any issues with Office for MAC.

What version of office are yall using? I've been reading that the 2008 suite worked great and that the newer version is horrible

I've used 08 and 11. No problems. But I'm not a heavy excel user. Mostly word and PowerPoint

Been using it for a while. It helps if you turn on the left and right clicks for your Mac.

Im running it everyday on a Mac Book pro and there are slight differences in it but other than that i have had 0 problems with it.

I run the snot out of Office 2011 on my MAC and it works like a champ. It not only works but, I have a Windows 7 Professional partition running on my MAC, running under a virtual machine via Parallels. MS Office works great on both operating systems - no bug, no glitches and rock solid!
