    Desert Island Interview Question

A buddy of mine was interviewing for a job recently and got the following question. "Okay, you are stranded on a desert island and you have to choose someone to be stranded with. Who would you choose between Caitlyn Jenner and Richard Simmons?"

He said he cringed and then picked Caitlyn because he thought Richard Simmons would talk his ear off and be really annoying. Also, he would have to sleep with one eye open.

I thought it was a pretty funny question so I asked a few guys this morning playing hoops. Here are some of their answers:

    1. Richard Simmons because he would die sooner.
    2. I would start swimming until I either drowned or got eaten by sharks.
    3. Caitlyn - probably has some great stories from the Olympics and his/her crazy family.

    What would you say?

    Happy Friday

I guess Jenner.....she used to be a man at some point. If that makes sense, at least more than Simmons....

Its not a deserted island if someone else is on there. So I wouldn't be there.....problem solved.

I wouldn't work for that company if I was asked that.

This. That's a border line question that SOME could see as a red flag.....Unless of course it was a really cool job like beer taster at a brewery or some such.

LOL that is a weird interview question..

I would prob say Simmons because the transgender thing really gives me the creeps. Can't help it.

Also, Simmons would croak in no time!!

I agree with the Op's buddy number 2... I'll take drowning or sharks...

I would wonder about the mental capacity of the interviewer and keep on looking for a job where the boss wasn't a buffoon.

No way. I would have thanked him for his time after that question. I was on a interview with a recruiter. The guy never looked at me was on his computer or phone most of the time. Said my shirt was the wrong color (Sorry I didn't wear your favorite color?) Finally got tired of him, gave him a few choice words and walked out.

"Thank you for your time and good luck with your search. You have a great company and I am certain you will find the candidate that is a perfect fit for your organization.

                          Do you validate parking?"

It was probably just a light hearted attempt to ease the mood guys, some people use a little humor to lighten things up... lol
