Ok folks, I need some guidance from the Green Screen. The short story is that my wife and I have had 2 kids, 14 and 11, dropped in our laps to be taken care of. Lots of issues with them but one issue is that both kids are really behind in where they should be educationally because of the circumstances they have been living their lives under. With this being the beginning of summer my thoughts are to get them both started in some sort of individualized learning environment so perhaps we can close the gap in where they are and where they should be. With all that said, Im am looking for opinions on what can be done. My thoughts are to get them into Sylvan, Kumon, or Huntington type place here in Sugar Land. Any experience good or bad with these places? I dont want to take a bad situation and make it worse or spin my wheels when we can be doing something productive. Thanks in advance for your ideas and experiences.

We found an ***'t principal who worked with our once a week for a whole lot less. If you know of any teachers in the area, I'd suggest asking them if they, or themselves, are interested in tutoring.
