    professional help

she needs to see her OB/GYN and let her true feelings be known

the OB/GYN can then make a referral to a specialist who deal with PP depression

it's a common occurrence and very treatable

get help ASAP before it gets worse

Get out of the house. Keep a steady stream of her friends coming over or go visit them. Go to the library and read up on it.

Is she tending to the baby, or are you having to do that, too?

she is 100% on the baby duty. we had the scare with strep b when he left the hospital on the 21st, but he has been doing very well since, and she is the best mom ive ever seen.

According to my mother-in-law, who is a retired RN, get with her doctor as soon as possible. Get the on-call person if necessary. Get your direction from them.

Yep - get her some professional help. She's dealing with a miserable feeling. Very common, very normal, but very devastating. Get her some help for a few weeks and she'll be back to her old self.

                    Good luck.
