First time I heard this Carrie Underwood song on the radio today and that part of the words to it made me curious if the song writer ever fired a real gun.

I don't care how beautiful she is, I wouldn't give up my guns and/or fishing gear for a woman. She'd just have to get over it.
People have a right to change their views, but it just seems odd if it's true for a real Okie to ban her husband from them.

My dad is an Okie. All his folks and he were some gun totin, rootin tootin country folk. If you didn't hunt or fish, you didn't eat.

I don't have any idea about the song, but the article about her "throwing a fit and demanding him to give up hunting" is ridiculous.

I don't care what she looks like, I'd kick that ***** to the curb..... quick!
