Not to high jack my own thread but do women really care to cook at home anymore? As a kid it was a special occasion if we ever ate out. It seems like every time I eat out I get the squirts, that's bad food handling. No thank! I'll make my own food knowing Jose isn't touching my food.

I can tell she knows her way around the kitchen and can flat out cook



as for me, my wife loves to clean and is a neat freek

I agree, we have the same rules here, but the question was do women still cook? Like my mother did? I think not. It's to easy to run over to McDonald's and pick up a quick and easy meal.

What happened to goulash, tuna casserole and all the other easy to fix home cooked meals? Heck spaghetti is easy.

Yup....most of the quality cooking falls on me.....most of the baking, sweets and appetizer type stuff is my wife's area of expertise. We make a good team. I enjoy cooking it as much as I enjoy eating it....especially on the smoker and grill.

About the same at our house. I do the majority of the cooking. Not quite as fun post cardiac "event," but I still enjoy cooking.

btw, she does good. But her recpies are mostly using harvested meat. And I'm sure I could use store bought for, but some might not.

Im better at short order stuff (grilled cheese, bacon and eggs, etc.) and on the grill. She is better at pretty much everything else.

In the home kitchen I guess it depends on who works the hardest at it. In the world's best restaurants, vast majority of the chefs are men.
