You won't notice that big of a difference come fall

Andy, I think things will be just fine... but... I've never seen so many BIG gators! The big lake has one I'm thinking is over 14'. He's an absolute monster! We saw gators from 18" to true world class size and everywhere we went. You won't believe the bridge area! I may make another run this weekend to check on the progress of the receding water. Troy's front stand is the only one that can be accessed right now. I'd love to be able to take my boat back to my creek stand and shoot the carp that I bet are feedin' under it every day!

x2! No flooding for us so such areas should have excellent fawn groups and big bucks and healthy does

            Nueces

Around 1500 of 3000 ac under water on the river bottom. Good news is these fawns aren't born yet.

Hopefully they will be back...I'm sure they can't resist the golden nuggets of love.

That could get interesting! I had some pretty good bucks patterned at the back pipeline area. They just needed another year or 2. I was worried that they may disappear. I might try to make it out there this weekend to check on things. I just detailed my ranger though, and I don't want to get it dirty

From what I have seen in the past, the deer will go where the food is. A lot of the flooded areas close to the trinity river will silt up and cover over the fresh green vegetation we had. The property I hunt on has flooded several times since I have been hunting it(1990). The deer will come back but it will be a slow process. I have seen it change their trails and bedding areas depending on what is left of the thickets they frequent.
