I had a dang good group of guys on the boat today. They all happen to be TBH'ers. This trip was setup by TBH'er James. Thanks you again amigo.
On board was...James, Justin (Jbone), Chad (Cwbrown), Wyatt (Devin) and Jason (Jason86).
After some major overnight storms our day started with a stiff North wind which can always throw a curve ball on a day of fishing. Our day was slow but somewhat steady. These guys stayed positive the whole time and were having a ball cutting each other up. Days like today are what keep me doing this guiding thing.
James has fished with me before and we had a solid day with limits of fish. Today wasn't the same. We were really having to work for our fish. We had lots of short bites, missed fish and lost fish. We tried all different tactics with same results. Another thing that was odd today was at every spot the first 1-2 baits casted would get hit then zero or 1-2 short bites after that. This happen over and over at every spot. Weird!! The most fish caught at one spot was 3.
At 2pm we had run out of bait but we did have 16 solid and fat specks ranging from 16"-20". We also landed a big whiting that decided to hit a croaker. Its not the first time either.
We fished Corpus Bay and Nueces Bay. Lots of fresh water everywhere but water color was decent. The fish were at every spot but the bites were minimal and weird. Just one of them days.
Thank you again James, Justin, Jason, Wyatt, and Chad. You boys are great people.
A few pics taken by the boys...
Jbone with a nice trout

Jason with a solid speck

This fish here gave us hell but we got it in the boat. Lol

James doing a little cold beverage drinking to stay hydrated.

The box looking a little better.

Pescados

The boys with their hard earned catch.

Until next time amigos!!
