Hagerman preference point/draw question.

If I have 3 points and I buddy with someone who has 1 (or 2) points, does H really go by the buddy with the least points??
Taught a bow ed class today and that's what one of the students was telling me.
If I had know that I would've dumped Oscar like a hot potato!!

Don't know. Guy said they would go by the buddies name with the lowest points so a first year person doesn't get in just for buddying with someone with more points...

Rumor I heard was points = additional copies of your card in the pot. So if you have 3 pts your name would be in there 3 times & 2 for him.

I called the other day and Kathy told me they average the points and round down. So (2+3)/2=2.5 which really equals 2.

They changed it this year do allot 75% of tags to a true PP system and the remaining 25% to a bonus point system.

In the past if the card was picked then both hunters were in. Just curious if now having different preference points makes any difference in how it's drawn. I'll call Monday if there is any place not under water up there to call...
