Need input on diesel Kawasaki Mule

Does anyone have a diesel Kawasaki mule they can give some feedback on? I'm wanting to find one for my dad so I want a dependable used one that will last him but I don't want to fit the bill for a brand new one. What I've found and am considering going to look at to buy is a 2006 diesel 4wd with 206 hours and 647 miles. It's been used on a farm to put feed out and doesn't seen to have been abused at all, 647 miles is really low for 206 hours, seems like it's been putted around in slowly. Give me any feedback on Mule diesels please...good or bad.
    Thanks

Power and work wise they are great. For hunting and sneaking around they are really really loud out in the middle of no where.

Loud in the cab, and the one I had (similar year model I think it was an 04) was really low geared. When driving at a decent speed and let off gas it would tend to want to throw you out the front lol. I could pull a flatbed trailer with two tons corn with ease.

I have a 2010 lots of power. I've had zero issues and I beat the crap out of it. They are a bit louder but I don't mind.

I'm not to worried about the noise as my dad will mainly use it to put out feed, ride fences, putt around in, definitely not using it to ride around a lease or stalk from. He is currently using a Kawasaki prairie 4 wheeler and to me that thing is really loud!

My parents just traded in their ten year old 3010 diesel mule with 3,400 miles on it, if your doing farm work and light offroad they are dynamite!

That said I got a Ranger Diesel crew, and like my mom has said, there is things she wished her mule had that my ranger has and vice versa. But both are great diesel utvs

My dad has a 2005 3010 diesel with roughly 3,000 miles. It's a work horse. Like others have said they are rough riding and loud. Other than that he has only had a few electrical issues.

I've got a 2013 with nearly 250 hours on it. Use (abuse) it in the break country between Dryden and Sheffield. Service it myself and the only issue has been a broken speedo cable. I love that I can leave it sitting for extended periods without the fuel going bad or ethanol eating up/varnishing my fuel system.

Louder than a gas one at idle, but it seems about the same when driving. Tons of torque.

I, along with everyone else I know who runs them, am really not happy that they quit making them.

Didn't know that folks just bought a 4010 trans4x4 that's a diesel brand new not too long ago.

They are well worth the money in my opinion. Idle great, run great, has plenty power and runs about 21mph. To me they arent as loud as some make out to be. It is a diesel, but it aint like an old chattering 7.3l or nothing.

My farmer in Kansas lets us use his when it's wet. Had a tripod feeder and 7 bags of corn and drove it through everything. 4 wheel drive and is a beast, would love to have one!

I would be concerned about buying something 9 years old that only has 200 hrs. Especially from a ranch. That thing has been sitting, or the hour meter was unplugged.

I live on a ranch, & use my '07 mule daily. 1400 hours.

Also....With my 589's, I can go just about anywhere I want.

I would think just the opposite as far as the hours go

2013 was the last model year for the diesel Mule. There is still new 2013 stock out there for purchase. Wish I had use for another so I could snap one up!
