As usual, I suspect that this will deteriorate into mine is the best and the rest are junk. Here's my opinion. I ain't got a clue. Whatever works for you is good. I've got at least a dozen, most based on concealed carry, so none of which apply. They all hold the gun securely, some conceal it better than others. My .40 I like a Tagua (made in Paraguay bought on ebay), My .357 (J Frame S&W) I like a Blackhawk size OO made in Italy. What you will choose and what you will like ..... I have no idear. Pretty personal stuff. I wear Wranglers and T shirts almost exclusively.

I have a couple of leather OWB holsters. Don't plan on getting any new ones.

Ironically I saw a guy buying a owb holster today at academy and said he intended to start using it as soon as legal.

He was in his 70's, the world should already know not to mess with old people. This man is going to remove any doubts....

I already use owb for concealed carry, nothing will change for open.

That's what I will start with. Already have the Serpa level II for a couple of guns and will get one now for my 1911.

Very seldom will I carry open and do like that the gubment gave us a foothold. Ocassionaly I'll OC. Convenience sometimes, wanna look like a really old Clint Eastwood, tactical advantage, show off my new hog leg, wear a DM Bullard Rhino skin holster and mag pouch or wear more tucked shirts might be reasons.

And I think it's in the law that to carry legally open you still are required to have at least 2 guns concealed.
