    6.7 Cummins programmer

Ok Ive got a 2012 Dodge 2500 with the 6.7 Cummins. I know it's not meant to get the same mpg as a Prius but I would like to improve it as my average is about 12 mpg. I'm not a diesel guru so the question I have is what has everyone done to improve mpg?
If you could tell me the programmer your using and any deletes. If you could list your mpg that would be great as well.

I'm using an H&S XRT pro with trans tuning and running MCC (custom tunes) thru Anarchy diesel. I only deleted the nox and DPF. I left the cat and factory muffler in place.

    2010 mega cab.

Im thinking about selling my 5.9 and buying a 6.7. Im just getting too many miles on mine and worried about break downs. That said, im not excited about the 12 mpg. In for more response.

Running the Torque Tech T1 with trans tune. Full 5" delete turbo back. Getting right at 20 with stock air box and EGR still installed.

From what I have read, the newer Dodges that are running the DEF are getting MPG's like the old 5.9's.

Thats what I'm reading as well. I know the sticker price on the 2015 models sure has jumped over what my 2012 was.

yea that is putting it on the light side.. Me and the wife were just driving around town and stopped in to look at them just for a basic tradesman was bottom line of 45k and the decked out one was close to 65k.. I have a friend thats a general manager of a car dealership here and he gave me a call saying he had a truck that he wanted me to look at that had just come in.. 2013 crew cab 4x4 cumins back with after market wheels and tires had only 30k miles on it with clear carfax.. Picked it up for 30 after the trade in we got it for way less than that..

EFI live with trans tuning, a little cheaper than H&S but you would have to have gauges or buy a monitor like the Edge CTS or CTS2 to have the digital gauges. EFI live is now switchable on the fly like H&S as well. Check these guys out, bought all the things I am doing to my 2012 from them but just haven't had the chance to get everything done yet. https://www.facebook.com/TerrorCustomTuning?pnref=lhc

Do you have aftermarket wheels or tires? I get around 20 on the highway and 12 in town, bone stock.

I had a guy tell me the DEF helped with the MPG's but this is my first diesel so I don't have anything to compare to.... However, I've had warranty work on my 2013 2500 6.7 3x's and the last time they had to replace the CAT and DEF sensors. I've only used Peak DEF so I'm not sure what caused it. To the OP - I'm waiting for the warranty to expire and then I'm going to delete it and remove the DEF garbage. MY current average is 15/16 MPG but haven't tested it with a ghost trailer yet...
