With 2 power poles are they deployed together or do you have control over each? On a windy day especially on the bay, I can see them being very handy, but if you deploy them both and the boat is cross-wind, the profile of the boat with the wind pushing on the side would seem to be a recipe to rip a pole off or at a minimum damage it or the boat.
Anyone have experience with this? I'm not a bass fisherman any longer, but sure do love chasing trout slicks (hence the screen name I've had for years)...

What is the actual probe made of? In the early days of these, I know of at least 2 or 3 guys that set their poles on the "hump" out of Port O'Connor and went wading... had to hitch a ride to get their boats back.. seems the wave action allowed them to sort of "bounce" along until they lost the bottom... If I ever get me another bay boat, though, it will have a pair of the longest ones I can get.

I don't fish shallow enough to have em do me any good for the most part but if I did 2 would be the cats meow! Would be nice to pull up to a good dock, drop the poles with the boat in perfect position, and extract all the crappie I could without losing boat position or creating a propwash under the dock to scare em off.

Itll will hold you in place, especially when you forget its down and hit the throttle!

Recently had a Coworker have one fail in the down position and ran like that back across east bay to Texas City dyke then loaded it on trailer and up the ramp. He then had to unbolt it to head home. Gears locked up on it.
