I grew up in Woodville. We knew people down in Barlow Lakes and they always flooded with heavy rains or when the locks were really opened. Hopefully they have been evacuated or chose to leave the area. The Spurger and Fred areas are going to have some real problems and others further downstream. When Rayburn opens up, it will get much worse.

Most of the camps in Barlow are run down now. Our lease is right by there. The meth is so bad down in there the cops want go down there.

You are correct. It's gotten way out of hand and the current TCSO admin is a complete joke.

Thanks. Hopefully yall don't end up with issues down China way.

I bet Old Sour Lake Rd is under probably 5 ft of water by now. It floods quick and holds water for a long time.

Buddy is down at his lease down along the Neches East of Spurger and said the sloughs and oxbows (and old river cut through) are getting fed well. And there are gators laying along the lease roads.

Talked to the Jasper County Sheriffs yesterday while we were getting trespassers off my cousins place and they said they are releasing Dam B because Ray Burn is about to open up so they are trying to compensate the difference. Ray Burn had either a .5 foot or 1.5 feet to go before the dam there was opened some according to them.

you might want to pack up some stuff,,,, the flood of 94 was historic for sure,, and i pray it never gets there again,,, but the lnva opened the locks on the salt water barrier and the closed part of bigner road which goes through the gate to the locks,, they already new it was going under water,,,, also back in 94 the old steel wall was still up in the bayou below the pump station, it really reduced the water flow going down the bayou which caused problems up stream,,, my bil lost his house in that one.... if it does quit raining you may be ok, but if they open rayburn very much with everything else so high already you may be worse than 94

I was at Rayburn last weekend and the marina said it will hit the spillway at 175'. So if its over 172' now I would call that danger zone. You know they will have to open up to protect the dam. If that big joker starts free flowing that's a lotta watta.

I remember Fishing Rayburn one time it was 12' or 13' high. We were catching bass off of picnic tables in Mill creek park.
