Question of for Johnny- Weather Related

It seems pretty obvious that the weather pattern has changed significantly. What impact will the new pattern have on hurricane season, if any?

No high pressure protection over the top of us, meaning higher chance of land fall in our area.

Exact opposite from what i've read, El Nino reduces Hurricane activity in the Gulf.

I think it reduces hurricane activity but if there is one coming ashore it can travel farther inland because there is no high pressure cap for it to bounce off of.

This. Reduced activity in the gulf expected this year.

Correct but I asked a similar question and even though the activity is lower there will be no high pressure dug in over us to steer one away if it does pop up.

I heard that the season is starting early though and the odds of getting a land fall are higher...
