Was it hard? What all tools do I need to have? What kind of materials do I need? Do you have a parts list by any chance, so I know what to buy? Any help info would be greatly appreciated!

D~Mo and the mandatory bottle opener.

I will be building one here pretty quick too.

I just happened to have that laying around.

I will say the heat diffuser plate I added (2nd to last pic) made a big difference with temperature consistency. You will read that they aren't needed, and I turned out some good stuff without it, but I'm a believer now.

This plate sits above the fire I guess?

Yes sir, about 3-5 inches above the charcoal. It keeps the juice from the food from saturating parts of the lump charcoal before it can burn, in turn preventing temperature spikes.

This is why I love this site.............!!!!! I was going to post today about mine and look some one already did.. This was my first cook on mine and had an issue with temp and couldn't get is figured out. I was running 289 degrees the entire time. "2 hours +" I messed with the air inlets and couldn't seem to get it corrected. So my question is did I need more air or less...???
