He does catch some nice alligator gar from his pier.

I'm fixing to call and see if we can drop a few lines off the porch.

I have met a few folks from that area just south of the 37 bridge. That whole area is gonna be wet for a good while. Hope the rising water will slow/stop soon.

He's been through it many times over the years. He loves his place and doesn't mind the occasional flooding. He can be in the back bay fishing pretty quickly.

As long as it subsides for the white bass run next year, I'll be happy.

Bet that river bottom is way different than this past year!

Yup, looked at property down by this house a while back. Its nice down there and a hole shot to the back bay is a plus

Ive caught a bunch of gar in front of your buddy's house.

The back bay needed a good flushing. It should turn that bay on fire when its done. Heck Im sure some parts of it are on fire now. Will let yall know this weekend.

I figured you had been close to his place as much as you fish back there. I hung a good gar off his pier one night that broke off right at the dock, I wasn't pleased with the loss. He had landed a nice 3-4 footer right before that.
I told him to call me when things settled down and he was ready to go fishing, my son is bad wanting to make a trip down there.

Checked on my buddy on the river, said the water started dropping and is now rising again. Probably just some adjustments upstream. You can just see the top of their benches along their dock.

Just saw on the news that they went from 6 flood gates open yesterday to 2 today. Sounds like he's just now seeing the affects of the 6 gates but should start dropping again.
