    Skull from a lion kill.

Pretty neat little skull from a lion kill site. No telling how long it had been there.

Pretty cool! Looks to have been just out of velvet due to how knarly his bases look. Maybe August/September kill.

What do you mean from a 'lion kill'?

You killed a lion and on recovery you found this ...?

Probably found it packed in a pile of leaves or something indicating "lion kill"

One lion can kill many deer every year. They don't eat it all. So occisionally you find the bones and skull.

I was turkey hunting in a thick canyon one spring a decade or so ago and I came into a thick brushed area. I started smelling a really musty smell and noticed several dead deer carcasses piled up under the trees while walking trough. They were partially covered with brush and other forest debri. I figured at one time that canyon had a good population of deer because it had good cover, food and water. I did not see many deer while turkey hunting there those few days.
