never thought falling off a ladder would hurt so bad

was putting stuff up in our attic when the 6 foot ladder fell out from under me. I got scaped up real good. The fossil watch i was wearing got yanked off my wrist breaking the band. And i landed on my left hip. After lunch x rays are going to get done to make sure it is not broken.

    I need a beer.

We had a paper hanger fall of the bottom step of a 3' ladder at work once. Hit his head on the corner of a bathroom vanity and died instantly...

Glad your no worse for it. Falling ain't fun.

I did the same thing once when I was re-fastening a corner of tin roofing on my wife's horse loafing shed. Woke up sore as all get out with a horse looking down at me. That was the end of that day's roof fixing.

Ladders can be the devil, I had a six footer collapse on me and my leg got trapped On the way down, my knee swelled up like a melon. Torn MCL and meniscus .
              Hope you heal up fast

They're dangerous no doubt about it. Short ladders are worse yet. You don't have time to break the fall. I fell off the top of scaffolding about 15 feet in the air last Summer. Luckily there was an air conditioning unit below me to break my fall. I could have been injured.lol

My buddy was trimming trees on a ladder and had to have both rotator cuffs operated on. Also had a torn bicep on one side.

It's not the fall--rather the landing that hurts! Hope all the films turn out normal. I had a ladder, scorpion, flip flops and concrete "event" several years ago. Tailbone, low back pain and bone chip in elbow. Had an ortho friend check me out and no residuals. Hope you are as fortunate!

Well, I got lucky. Nothing is broken, just severely bruised.

I was putting my old Army duffle bag into the attic that was stuffed full of old clothes. I had it on my back when the ladder fell. When I hit the floor, the duffle bag cushoined me, but my leg fell on the ladder which is what caused the bad bruising.

Doc said take it easy for a couple of days which is good because I am off work till Tuesday due to Memorial day.

Man, take it easy. Glad to hear you're not broken anywhere. Was the ladder old or what?
