    moore maker vs case

who carries what and why? I've had a moor maker, and while its a good knife.. I just don't like the "seasoning" that the blades get. I prefer case knives as my every day carry. What says the green screen?

      moore maker vs case

Who carries what and why? I like case knives personally. Don't like the "seasoning" that the moore makers develop over time. What says the green screen?

Carry Moore double lock blade. Last one did not hold edge very good. Like the double lock been carrying this style several years.

Willing to accept Moore Maker donations for comparison testing, never owned one, do have several Case knives, some that grandfather and wife's grandfather passed down.

I love my Moore Makers. I have about 2 dozen. I don't mind the "seasoning" and find that over time with some oil and a scotch pad they actually develop a really pretty Patina.

I have a Moore Maker a member here sent me and it's been great.. I actually like the look of the "seasoning" they get and its held an edge extremely well and haven't sharpened in the 6+ months I've been using it. Ive had Case before (that I lost after a few years) and I really don't think quality is better with one over the other. I do like that Moores are Tx made also.

I carry a Case trapper occasionally because I like the look and feel of them. I have no complaints about the quality. It seems to hold an edge pretty well. I don't have any experience with Moore Maker to compare it to though.

I had one Moore Maker and it held an edge ok... But the seasoning is never even and it looked dirty or weird. I ended up giving it to a friend and went back to Case. I do like the fact that Moore Maker is made in Texas

Not sure the MM is made in Texas, think they are made in Alabama or Mississippi but I could be wrong

Have a MM Trapper with yellow handles I have had for about 9 years and it is just as good as the Case one I have

I carry a MM on a daily basis, and I love it. Mine holds a good edge, and is easy to re-hone with a few swipes of my ceramic rod. However, I have never had a good Case, just cheap ones, so I cant make any decent comparison of the two.

Mine says Matador Tx on the blade.

They put bids out and get others to make the knives. Unfortunately Moore maker has never been made in Texas.
