Drought monitor map as of a couple days ago. Yellow is "Abnormally Dry, tan is "Moderate Drought" and the light orange is "Severe Drought".I would be surprised if there is ever a time when at least some portion of the state is in dought to some degree

I am SICK of the rain. Barely got my yard mowed earlier. As I was making the last pass I started getting poured on.

I'm sick of the rain and the drought didn't bother me since I'm not a rancher or farmer but I am glad that the drought is over in most areas. Right now my entire lease is under about 4 ft of water and it just started raining again. I can actually go catch fish at all my feeders right now if I had a boat to get to them. The ranch owner has been fishing out there and him and his friends have been catching a lot of catfish. I'm going to loose 12 game cameras because of this, hopefully the water stays below my feeder motors and timers so I don't loose those also.

I will never complain about rain given past history. A little better spacing between events wouldn't bother me though. The drought is gone in our neck of the woods.

i have had at least 5 rains over 4 inches this year, two of those were over 7",, i have had maybe one day with not less than 1/2" per day for the last 3 weeks,,,, but it is Hardin county,,,,, i have minnows swimming around in the yard,, and i am at least glad for that because the mosquitos would be unreal if not for them and the 1" perch cruising the grass along with the 100,000 plus fogs that have hatched out

definitely not gone in our area - The pastures look great and the stock tanks are full but there are plenty of lakes around here that provide water for municipalities that are still very, very low, which is keeping tight water restrictions in force. Abilene area lakes need it in a bad way as well

Yeah, it depends on what the definition of drought is. If all you look at is the soil moisture content and vegetation, then we're out of the drought. But if you look at the amount of water in the lakes that are our water supply, then we're still in DEEP drought around here. Bring on the **** floating flood runoff that'll fill 'em up!

Sorry to hear that on Abilene. Maybe they can pump some out of Texoma over there. The marinas are starting to close here due to flooding.

That's weird because most of the rain we get here in DFW comes from west of us (near Graham).

Yep. The clouds form around here and rain a little, and then they move east, blow up and dump huge amounts of rain. I'm thankful we've missed the hail and tornados though.
