Probably the best bow mathews ever made, have several buddies that bought new bows and ended up selling them and going back. The Z7 is the same way, I bought a helium when I replaced my old Vectrix, but only because I like a lighter bow.

All the angst that goes into choosing a bow--well, when I upgraded from a Browning Trophy Reflex from the early '90s time frame, I chose a Mathews Outback because I looked at one in a pawn shop and decided I liked the way it felt. Never shot it or drew it, but I'm happy. I also have a DXT and had a Hoyt which I was happy with as well. No mystery in it with me as I am not a speed freak, shoot heavy aluminum arrows with Bear Razorheads and value the quietness and stability of the bow most of all.

      And, yes, I'm an ORF--old retired ****
