I am going caribou hunting in September in Nunavut/Manitoba. Never hunted caribou, just wondering if anyone had any wisdom/tips to pass along to me. Also looking for any suggestions on things I should be doing to prepare between now and then.

I assume you are Bowhunting. Get in shape as mentioned above. Lots of walking on spongy ground. Be ready to crawl or whatever it takes to get close in minimal cover. I would par active to 100 yards and be ready to shoot at least 60 yards. Long range practice will make it easier. Don't be afraid to practice in the wind. Seems like it's always windy in caribou country. Caribou aren't the toughest animal out there and most of the country is open. Try to get an arrow in them. If quartering toward you don't get cute and hug the shoulder. Any good broadhead will work but make sure it flies like a dart. Have fun and don't get disappointed if it's not like the tv shows.
