Low vs High Fence cost ?

I just purchased a property and need to put up a fence. The neighbor that bought the other side of me is willing to split the cost of fence. He came up with a quote for 5 strand for material and labor $3.50/ft. No clearing included. Fence is 4000 ft straight. Gradual elevation change. I can put it up cheaper myself.
I was wanting to maybe high fence my entire place one day. Seems like I hear of turnkey places running 4-5/ft for everything. So I am thinking why not high fence now at least the one side and then do the rest a couple years down the road.
I hear of LE and J4 fencing. Any other good recommendations and price around the DFW area?
Sounds like the best way is to go all galvanized. Debating if I want 8 or 10ft fence. Any suggestions.
Is there any preference over driving cornerposts versus setting in concrete?
My neighbor does clearing so i will probably have him do it for a fair price. Is 30ft good cleared on each side of the fence or should I go 50ft. It will mostly be mesquite trees but in some areas it has large elms and hackberry trees.

We usually doze one blade width down the middle and on each side (Cat D6) so maybe 30ft. Not a whole lot of experience with HF but not sure much game holding difference between. 8-10ft other than cost. One of the last times I looked it was about $10k/mile....and that may be low now.

        Figure on $20,000 to $25,000 a mile.

LE missed our oppt. to bid our fence.

Mack @ ranger fence company is legit. Top quality work and fast!! He Fenced our 6 miles and the total was exactly what he bid.

Most recent piece of fence we had built was $2.24pft for 5 miles of 5 strand. This was 2-3 years ago.

Half the expense looks to be just material. Makes me want to try it myself. I've put up a few miles of barb wire fence but never done any game fence.
