scam. I was selling my Jeep on craigs list a few years ago and I got an email from a guy up north saying he would send a cashiers check for $4000 more than I was asking and when the delivery driver came to pick up my jeep I would give the $4000 to him. I was thinking WTH. I researched and Craigs list had a post saying scam artist were doing this and the cashiers check would come back and you would be out the money you gave them and your vehicle.

Oh, he needed all of my info to FedEx me a check.

          I let CL know.

I have my camera ready when his mover comes to box and ship 2 600# heifers.
LOL! Sounds to me like you had a little fun with that fella.

The reply above, and not craigslist in general. I've bought, sold, and given away a bunch of stuff through craigslist.

There's not reason somebody out of state would be listing a steer for sale in Texas, is there? Obvious scam.

The personals are the largest source of online prostitution however, and the local police are catching 'em.

Dont bother with them, if they are not local even if they are just out of town dont deal with them. If something is in another city, like denver, why post it in dallas if its legit.

                      Definite scams.

This part had me rolling as though a stroke effects typed grammar.

Here is something you might want to keep in mind. I got a spam email at work today titled "Job Offer". I was bored so I read it. It is deleted now so I can't quote directly, but it went something like this.

They wanted to pay me to proofread students "essays" or something and make it read like a native speaker had written it. When I first read it I just thought it was strange and deleted it. It didn't dawn on me until I read this thread that they were trying to get me to help them scam us.

                        I hate thieves

Bill, there was a recent thread on here about people being robbed and killed while trying to buy stuff off CL in Dallas area.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen major breaking news stories on TBH before they hit the mainstream media, but it has been a bunch.

Maybe I spend too much time here? Nah, no such thing
