    I need some tires

Hey guys, I just bought a new truck and had it leveled but didn't get new tires yet. I would love to find someone that wants to trade, but out that will happen. I would like something around the 285/65/20 range. Whats a good tire for the money without being ridiculously expensive? Does discount tire or anyone do trade ins?

Does it already have 20s? Good tires ain't cheap, and never go cheap on tires.

Nitto TGs, Toyo OCs, BFG TA KOs, etc.

I just bought Hankook 275/65/20 at discount for $200 each after putting on a leveling kit. I think they are a 34" tire.

They look pretty good but I probably will go a little bigger/wider next time.

Discount tire has a memorial day special on the 22nd and 23rd, up to $160 mail in rebates.

Hankook or cooper are great tires. Toyo open country are similar but cost more and I think have a better mileage warranty.

I would check out Tirerack.com, and do some research and check out the reviews. I spend a lot more time on concrete and asphalt, so I looked for tires that have good braking, hydro planing resistance, not overly noisy, and have long tread life, but are aggressive enough to hand some mud/light trail duty on occasion. Everybody's needs/wants are different, so I would encourage you to get what you really need/want. I know for me I don't want to spend $1,000.00 on a set of tires that are loud, rough riding, have less than ideal street manners, and will need replacing after 25,000 to 30,000 miles b/c of softer earth-grabbing rubber compounds. But that is b/c my needs are different than others. If I spent a fair amount of my truck time on muddy or rocky roads, or my deer lease situation required me to go into some serious off road environments I would be looking for a completely different type of tire. For my needs, the Firestone Destination A/T tires fit the bill, and have served me well for the last few tire changes. Good luck in your search!

I have 2 Michelin LTX-AT2 LT275/65/20 that have only 5k on them that could make you a great deal on. My friend lives in Hutto and I can have him take them to you Memorial weekend

That's really not much bigger than what I've got. Thanks for the offer though

I put the Goodyear duratracs on my f250 a couple months ago. No complaints from me. They seem to be great tires
