Advice on how to get CHL?

Look up a chl class in your area and sign up for it they will tell you what you need to bring to class. During class they will give tpu paperwork and tell you how to gile them/do fingerprints etc after the class

Go to the bottom of the page and apply. Then take a class, go to approved fingerprint place and mail in all forms, background (any criminal stuff) and wait. Real easy

I had a couple of minor things when I was young and had a heck of a time getting the documentation. It wasn't computerized so they let me in the back room (Dallas County), find my own info on microfiche, make copies and then submit. Thought for a while I was gonna have to look through stone tablets...

Eh he gave me heck when I was asking about online submission times. Told me I needed to educate myself on laws concerning getting a CHL before I pursue it... cause you onow, that's what I was asking



To the OP, get your class scheduled, do your background and go ahead and schedule your fingerprinting the following available day. Be prepared and go ahead and try to take your shooting "test" the same say you complete your class, you'll get your CHL 100 signed and ready to go. Apply and pay online and submit your scanned CHL 100 at the same time.

If you're on top of it you can get your CHL in as little as 10 days. It's crazy how fast it it's online nowadays.
