Dang! My 2008 mega cab with 8 inches of lift and 37's gets about 77 mpg.

Not really that's the tundra owners on 35's. My truck gets around 16.5 or 17 on the hwy at 75.

            Truth.

That's what the megacab is for

                  Real tires.
                  And maybe some age?

Age isn't a huge factor. I'm 29 and don't see a point in mudding. Only time 4wd is engaged on my trucks is pulling someone out or if we get a heavy rain at the ranch

You've got some sense, brother. Don't get me wrong, there's a time and place for having some fun in the mud. We've all been there. But not in a $55K truck after all of the torrential downpours Texas has had the last few weeks. Sucking some water into that Cummins (I have one too, and I love it) is a $10k uh-oh. Looks like your buddy jacked up his air dam too.

I agree 100%. If I wanted to go mudding bad enough I would build a mud truck.

He's lucky that's the only thing he messed up. His truck was there right at 12 hours. And he's not my buddy lol. Saw the post on San Antonio diesel's Facebook and just went to try and help out lol.

At 12 hours he's got water in the tranny and front and rear diff fluids.

Stuck the front end of my 98 cummins once and in about 2 hours I spent an entire day flushing the Trans and front diff.

That truck would pull like a mule and got best mileage of any of the 3 diesels I've had. Just loud all the way around

If I REALLY baby it I'll get 17-19. A good estimate is 15 mixed driving.
