Computer guys need some input

OK I am looking to replace my stolen macbook pro with the imac. I mainly use a computer for video editing and want to continue to upgrade my arsenal of equipment. I got the 21.5" priced new today at a mac store. And then I google searched the imac. And well it pulled up some nicer prices but they are used or refurbished from apple. So what does refurbished from apple actually mean?

Could mean someone just returned it so they cant resale it new. O somthing was broke so they fixed it and now its refurbished

I know what the term refurbished means lol sorry I left that kinda opened. Some ppl say stay away from refurbished electronics. So if it's from apple would it have a good chance of being a good product

With Apple we found that if its a Gen 1 hardware (or major refresh) stay away from the refurbs. Apple certainly isnt what it used to be. Otherwise, you are good.

Kevin have you ever had or heard of bad experiences with gainsaver? They have different warranty policies for the computer which is a cool deal. But the way my luck has been I would be the one out of 100 to get a dud.
